Mission & Values
OUR MISSION
Rotarians take action on the world’s most persistent problems. From programs that support neighbors in our community to projects that improve the lives of others around the globe, we lift up humanity in a multitude of ways.
Our Values
Rotary is built on a shared commitment to service, integrity, fellowship, diversity, and leadership. These values guide how Rotarians serve their communities, build relationships, conduct themselves professionally, and work together to create lasting positive change. Rotary’s core values include fellowship, building lifelong relationships and understanding; integrity, maintaining high ethical standards and earning trust; diversity, connecting people of different backgrounds, professions, cultures, and perspectives; service, putting Service Above Self through meaningful action; and leadership, using professional skills and experience to strengthen communities and inspire others.
The Four-Way Test
The Four-Way Test provides a simple, timeless framework for making ethical decisions in business, professional, personal, and community life. Together with Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” these principles define what it means to be a Rotarian: building relationships, acting with integrity, serving others, and working together to make our communities and the world a better place.
