Chagrin Documentary Film Festival​ 

The Rotary Club of Chagrin Valley is proud to support the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, one of our community’s premier cultural events, held annually in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. 

Mary Ann Ponce founded the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival in 2010 in honor of her late son, David Ponce, an inspiring documentary filmmaker.  Mary Ann has been a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Chagrin Valley since 2013, giving her time and talents to make a meaningfull difference in the lives of others with many programs and activiites, the CDFF being the flagship example of strengthening the Chagrin Community.

The Festival brings filmmakers and audiences together through compelling documentary stories from around the world. Its mission to educate, inspire, and empower filmmakers closely aligns with Rotary’s commitment to service, education, cultural understanding, and stronger communities.​ Through sponsorship and support of filmmaker recognition, Chagrin Valley Rotary helps encourage talented storytellers while contributing to an event that brings thousands of visitors, residents, businesses, and community organizations together in the Chagrin Valley.​ Our support of the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival reflects Rotary’s belief that powerful stories can broaden understanding, inspire action, and connect people across communities and cultures.​
